Continued risk of thunderstorms

Due to the continued risk of thunderstorms the Met Office has extended its yellow weather warning through to 3am on Saturday.

Rainfall amounts will be highly variable, but there remains a risk that intense downpours could result in up to 50mm of rain within three hours. 

Frequent lightning, large hail and gusty winds are possible where the storms hit.
